PLAY OF COLORS
Your palette is magnificent.
Oh mighty God! Great God!
Your breath whispers colors
awakening in earthy sod.
A velour veil of rain
polishes hues of glistening green.
In cyclical reunion
leaves take on a glossy sheen.
Rainbows shiver after showers.
Grasses gleam with beads of pearl.
Like Joseph's coat of many colors
our Father brightens up our world.
Oh mighty God! Great God!
So many wonders you unfurl.

SPLINTERED GLASS
Splintered glass upon a sidewalk,
my life's shattered, broken shards,
dripping sticky whispers
that things were just too hard.
Now no longer just a still life
scattered on a ragged night.
His love so iridescent
gave me prismatic light.

TINY BLOSSOMS
Touching with my cheek
delicate bouquets
embroidered by her hands
on faded white pillowcase.
A tear waters
tiny blossoms
scented with memories.

My vision of God may be different than my sister's, and yours may be different than mine, but I believe that "a rose by any other name still smells as sweet," and this poetry is pungent with the power of life.
