thoughts

like gentle waves

come and go

I drift

like wood

on the water

light...floating....

changing...

becoming softer...

smoother...

nicer to hold...

Like the sand

you are one,

but many

I am

convinced

to find you...

but then-

the moon

says no....

time to go-

back to where

I came from

for awhile

but the waves

keep coming...

always coming...

always changing

the wood and the sand.

a fantasy

takes control

and covers me

like a dream

that seems so real

I hear, I speak,

I see, I feel

perfect pictures

moving slow

pictures only

I will know

painted passions

breathing air

all too easy

I am there

the moment that

I now perceive

is more than that

of make believe

for only spirit

has the wings

to fly above

all earthly things

who I am and

all I know

must remain

and cannot go

but still it seems

to all come true

if only for these

moments few

no limitations

interfere

there are no rules

while I am here

people, places, time

and fate

in fantasy

need never wait

everything I'm

wishing for

is coming true

but what is more

the story never

has to end

as long as I can

just pretend
